MIXER BATTER BUNS 
1 1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. flour

Add water and yeast to mixer bowl. Stir to dissolve. Add sugar, salt, shortening, eggs and 2 cups flour. Combine on low speed. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Add 1 1/4 cups flour. Beat until smooth on low speed. Spoon into greased muffin tins, 2/3 full. Let rise in warm place until batter reaches top of muffin tin, about 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes.
