2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water

Boil butter, shortening and water. Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs and buttermilk (with soda dissolved in it). Add vanilla. Pour on cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

Icing:

1 lb. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix and pour over cake.
