GOLDEN COIN REFRIGERATOR COOKIES 
1 stick parve butter, melted
1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped walnuts

Place butter and brown sugar in bowl of large mixer and beat until well blended. Beat in egg and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Toss lightly with a fork. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and blend well. Chill mixture until stiff. Shape into a log, 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll log in walnuts and wrap securely in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until firm.

To bake, cut into 1/4 inch slices and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from pan at once. Makes 48 cookies.
