SAUCE FOR GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
1 c. water 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. salt 1 onion, chopped 6 slices bacon Fry bacon and remove from grease. Saute onion in bacon grease. Remove onion and pour out grease from pan. Put water, vinegar, sugar, salt and cornstarch in pan and stir, bringing mixture to a boil. Boil until thickened and clear. Pour mixture onto boiled potatoes cut up in cubes. Add crumbled bacon and onion and mix well. |
