STRAWBERRY TORTE 
1 loaf pound cake (homemade is best)
1 pt. fresh strawberries
3-4 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sour cream
1 (4.5 oz.) Cool Whip

Cut pound cake horizontally into 3 layers. Mash berries with potato masher, should be about 1 1/2 cup crushed berries.

In mixer bowl, blend sugar with cream cheese. Beat in sour cream. Fold in Cool Whip. Fold in 1 1/2 cup crushed berries.

Place one cake layer on serving plate. Spread with filling, top with second layer and repeat. Spread more filling on top and sides of torte. Place in freezer to chill or chill in refrigerator.
