YEAST BISCUITS 
1 pkg. active dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening

Mix as for biscuits. Roll 1/2 inch thick, cut and brush with melted butter; fold over and place in greased pan. Let rise 1 hour; bake at 400 degrees or until done.
