2 PIE CRUST 
5 c. plain flour
1/2 stick butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 c. lard
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Cut first 5 ingredients together, put egg and vinegar in a 1 cup measuring cup and add ice water to have 3/4 cup liquid. Mix with dry ingredients. Half dough, roll out and place in 9" pans and bake a pie or two.
