GERMAN PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 eggs
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sauerkraut, ground
1 lemon rind, grated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Mix all ingredients and pour into pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees; then reduce temperature and bake at 350 degrees until done.
