CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (or less)
1 c. butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely before storing.
