“PRETZEL SALAD” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  PUMPKIN BREAD

PRETZEL SALAD 
1st Layer (Crust):

2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar

Mix ingredients, press into bottom of 9x13-inch cake pan and bake 8 minutes at 400°F. Let set until cool.

2nd Layer:

1 cup sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (at room temperature)
8 oz. cool whip

Beat together sugar and cream cheese, fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cooked crust.

3rd Layer:

6 oz. strawberry Jello
2 cups boiling water
2 (10 oz. ea.) pkgs. frozen strawberries

Dissolve Jello in boiling water and frozen strawberries. Mix together and cool until slightly thickened, about 1/2 hour. Spread over 2nd Layer and chill until set.
