APPLE-CHEESE SALAD 
2/3 c. red cinnamon candies (3 sm. bags)
1 c. boiling water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. finely cut celery
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. salt

Dissolve candies in hot water. Add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Add applesauce. Pour half into 8x8x2 inch pan. Chill until firm. Blend cream cheese, nuts and celery; add mayonnaise and salt. Spread in layer over firm gelatin. Pour on remaining applesauce mixture. Chill until firm.
