SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked

Combine first 5 ingredients thoroughly. Fold in pecans. Pour into pie shell and bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees, bake 25 minutes longer. Yield: 6 servings.
