SCALLOPED MUSHROOMS 
1 1/2 lbs. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
3 c. soft French bread crumbs
3/4 c. melted butter
Salt and pepper
1/2 c. dry white wine

Prepare crumbs by whirling in food processor. Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Add 1/3 of the mushrooms, cover with 1/3 of the crumbs, and drizzle with 1/3 of the butter. Season to taste and repeat the layer.

Cover with remaining mushrooms and pour the wine over all. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Mix remaining crumbs and butter and spoon over the top. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until crumbs are toasted.
