DELUXE POTATO SOUP 
4 med. potatoes
1/2 onion
1 celery stalk
1 ham slice
1/4 pkg. bacon
1 carrot
1/4 c. butter
Salt and pepper
Milk

Peel and boil potatoes until tender. Drain water and set aside. Chop onion and thinly slice celery. Saute in butter until tender. Set aside. DO NOT DRAIN! Chop ham and bacon into small pieces. Fry until bacon is done. Drain grease. Set aside. Peel and grate carrot. Chop potatoes. Combine all of above in large pan with milk. Heat on low. Salt and pepper to taste.

HINT: Substitute cream for some of the milk.
