4 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
1 egg, beaten
Cinnamon to garnish

Mix and blend first 7 ingredients. Knead a little. Roll out. Spread with butter, mix sugar and nuts together. Then sprinkle over butter. Fold over in half. Cut into 1/2 inch strips, then twist. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.

FROSTING:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. milk

Mix confectioners' sugar and milk. Frost while still warm. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
