CREAMED BEEF 
1 lb. ground beef or venison
1 stick butter
8 tbsp. flour
1 lg. can evaporated milk
Same amount of water
8 slices toast

Brown and drain the ground beef (or venison). Set aside. In the same pan, melt butter. Add flour and stir to make a paste. Lower heat to medium and slowly add evaporated milk, stirring quickly to keep from lumping. Slowly add the water, continuing to stir quickly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook a few minutes to thicken. More milk or water may be added, depending on how thick you like it. Return the meat to the sauce and serve over toast. Makes approximately 8 servings.
