CREAM POTATO SOUP 
4 med. potatoes
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 med. onion
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. salt

Pare potatoes very thin and cook until soft. Drain off water and save. Mash potatoes until free of lumps. Heat all ingredients in potato water. Add back mashed potato mixture and stir.
