CHEESY APPLES 
4 or 5 lg. apples
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 lb. grated cheddar cheese

Peel apples, cut into wedges. Put into baking dish. Pour water over apples. In another dish, mix remaining ingredients, including the cheese. Mixture will be thick, put on top of apples. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
