SPOONBREAD 
1 c. plain corn meal
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1 level tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 stick butter

Mix together, let thicken on top of stove. Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees about 1/2 hour.
