APPLE PIE CAKE 
1 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped and peeled apples
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Grease 9-inch pie pan. Melt butter and blend with sugar and egg. Mix dry ingredients in and add apples and pecans. Spread in pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with confectioners sugar glaze or ice cream.
