SMALL OATMEAL CAKES 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Blend in rolled oats, walnuts and raisins. Add milk. Stir mixture until well combined. Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven 10 to 12 minutes.
