ZITI BAKE 
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium garlic clove, minced
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf

For spaghetti sauce combine in sauce pan over medium heat, in hot oil, cook onions and garlic until tender, about 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium low and cook 30 minutes. Discard bay leaf. 1 lb. ground beef 1 (15 oz.) container Ricotta cheese 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 c. finely chopped parsley 1 egg, slightly beaten 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Prepare ziti macaroni as label directs; drain. Set aside. Cook ground beef until browned. Remove from heat; stir in ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt and pepper. Then pour in half of spaghetti sauce; stir until well mixed. Add ziti and toss gently to coat well. Spoon mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan; pour remaining sauce evenly over mixture, sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
