TEA CAKE COOKIES 
1 c. plain sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 sticks butter
1 c. oil (Crisco or Wesson)
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped (optional)

Mix first 4 ingredients, cream well. Add dry ingredients, eggs, and vanilla. Drop mixture by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes until light brown.
