BREAKFAST CAKE 
FILLING:

1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped nuts

BATTER:

1/2 c. shortening or butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. regular flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix filling ingredients and set aside.

BATTER: Cream the shortening or butter with sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Mix flour, baking soda and baking powder. Fold into creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla. Alternate 3 layers of batter with 2 layers of filling. Batter, filling, batter, filling, batter. Bake in a 9" well greased tube pan at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes.
