“CHILI CON CARNE” IS IN:

CHILI CON CARNE 
1 lb. chopped meat
1 med. onion
salt and pepper
1 can tomato soup
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans

Put chopped meat into a 3 qt. size pot. Cut onions up and add to meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add approximately 1/2 cup water, cover and cook over low heat for approximately 1 hour. Stir occasionally and keep adding water as is needed so meat does not stick to pot.

As you stir, break meat up with spoon so you do not have big chunks. When meat is done, add can of kidney beans, including the liquid; can of tomato soup and chili powder. Mix well.

Cover and simmer for about 15 or 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serves 4 to 6.

This recipe was easy to follow & cook. I'm newly married & cooks.com is always a big help. It lacks a little flavor so I added 3 tsp. of chili powder & one clove of finely minced garlic.
