OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. oatmeal (Quick cook kind, NOT instant or regular)
1 c. raisins, plumped with water in the microwave
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add eggs and mix until blended. Add vanilla. Combine flour, salt, baking powder & cinnamon. Add to butter mixture on low speed. Add oatmeal and blend well on low speed. Stir in raisins & nuts by hand. Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes - no more. Don't overcook.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
