EASY AND FAST HOMEMADE PIZZAS | |
pita bread, the thin and 9-inch or bigger variety passata tomato paste or light tomato puree shredded mozzarella cheese salt and pepper, to taste oregano flakes and olive oil your favorite topping No specified quantities for the ingredients as they will be up to you! Start by preheating the oven to 450°F. Microwave the pita breads until hot and place between two flat surfaces, putting a weight over them in order to press and make them as smooth as possible. Put the "ironed" pitas on refractory or oven-safe plates and smear the passata tomato puree, the shredded mozzarella cheese, a pinch of salt, pepper and olive oil to taste. Add your favorite topping, if any (I prefer them without any topping) Your toppings could include leftovers, anchovies, vegetables, ham slices with red bell pepper strips and thin onion slices, pepperoni or salami, etc. Place the pizzas into the oven and check them until the mozzarella starts to take a golden color, about 5 to 7 minutes.
