CRISP LIME PICKLES 
2 gal. water
3 c. hydrated lime
2 qts. vinegar
4 pts. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. pickling spices
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. salt

Mix lime in water; pour over cucumbers and let stand for 24 hours. Drain lime water, wash well and let stand in cold water for 3 hours. Combine remaining ingredients, heat and pour over cucumbers. Let stand for 24 hours. Next day, cook for 30 minutes, then can.
