2 c. flour
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. table salt
1/4 c. water

Mix flour and salt together in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup water and stir for a few minutes. Slowly add 1/4 cup water while turning dough in bowl. Form dough into a ball and work in remaining flour and salt. Knead for five minutes. Shape dough into desired shapes, adding a little water to join pieces together. Preschoolers can use cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 15 to 30 minutes until hard. Time will vary according to thickness of dough. Let cool completely. Dough can be painted with acrylic paints and finished with clear lacquer.
