TURTLE CAKE 
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
1 reg. pkg. German chocolate cake mix
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
6 oz. chopped pecans

Prepare cake mix as package directs. Bake half batter in greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan 15 minute at 350 degrees.

Melt butter with caramels and milk on top of double boiler. Remove from heat and cool slightly before drizzling over top of cake layer. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Spoon rest of batter over caramel mix and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
