SECOND-HAND SWEET PICKLES 
1 qt. dill pickles
2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. pickling spices
1 stick cinnamon

Drain pickles. Cut pickles into slices or chunks, and return to the jar.

Place sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add spices and cinnamon stick. Boil 5 minutes. Cool.

When syrup is cold, pour over pickles and place cinnamon stick in the jar. Replace the lid and refrigerate.

Ready to eat in about 4 to 5 hours.
