RED VELVET CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 bottle red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 oz. red food coloring

Cream sugar and eggs; add cooking oil and food coloring. Mix well; add buttermilk and flour. Add vanilla, vinegar, baking powder and soda. Mix well. Pour into 4 (9-inch) pans and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until done at 325°F.

Frosting For Red Velvet Cake:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box 10x sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add nuts and sugar. If too stiff, add a few drops of canned cream. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
