BAKED PEARS 
6 pears
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. apple juice
Cinnamon
Vanilla

Cut tops off pears and core. Put the pears in glass baking dish. Into each pear put a dot of butter, dash of vanilla, 1 tablespoon maple syrup and a good shake of cinnamon. Drizzle remaining maple syrup over the pears and replace tops.

Pour apple juice into the dish; cover and microwave 3-4 minutes on high. Remove from oven; baste with juices. Return to oven for 4 minutes on high or until medium soft.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
