GERMAN SWEET CHOCOLATE CREAM
CHEESE BROWNIES
 
1 (4 oz.) pkg. Baker's German sweet chocolate
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Prepare brownie layer: Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl at High 2 minutes or until butter is completely melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into melted chocolate. Stir in eggs and vanilla until completely mixed. Mix in flour until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 8 inch square pan.

CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:

4 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. flour

Prepare topping: In same bowl mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs and flour until smooth. Spoon over brownie mixture. Swirl with knife to marbleize.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until wooden pick in center comes out almost clean. Do not overbake. Cool in pan. Cut into squares. Makes 16 brownies. Delicious and enjoy!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
