4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 stick butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt

Beat eggs. Add sugar and continue beating. Add flour. Add vanilla. Keep beating. Heat milk with the stick of butter just until butter melts. Then add the milk and butter. Beat until blended well. Now add the baking powder. Batter will be thin. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.

Icing:

1/3 c. Crisco
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
2/3 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. warm milk

Beat first 4 ingredients together. Add slowly the warmed milk. Beat until smooth.
