STRAWBERRIES & CREAM CAKE 
1 orange cake mix
2 pts. strawberries, chopped
2 sm. cartons whipping cream
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Bake cake according to directions on box in 8-inch pans. Cool completely.

Filling: Finely chop strawberries; add sugar to taste. Let stand 30 to 40 minutes. Carefully slit each layer in half horizontally. In medium chilled bowl, combine whipping cream, sour cream, vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat until cream softly mounds.

To Assemble: Place cake layer, cut side up, on plate. Spread 1/3 of the berries, then top with 1/4-inch layer of cream. Top with cake layer, cut side down. Spread another 1/3 berries and 1/4-inch cream. Top with another cake layer, cut side up. Add remaining berries and layer of cream. Add last cake layer. Frost with remaining cream. Chill 4 hours.
