STOVE TOP PORK & BEANS 
1 (31 oz.) can pork & beans
4 slices bacon
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 sm. bell pepper, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped, leaves & stalk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. maple syrup (scant)
1/4 c. green onion tops, chopped

Fry bacon and remove. Saute onion, bell pepper and celery in bacon drippings. Add beans, brown sugar and maple syrup and cook on medium heat for 45 minutes. Add green onion tops and cook additional 15 minutes. Serves 4.
