PRUNE BREAD 
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. oil
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped prunes
1 c. boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour boiling water over prunes and let stand 1 hour. Mix all ingredients together. Bake in greased bread pans at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 2 regular size loaves or 4 small.

This recipe freezes well. Wrap in foil; store up to 4 months.
