DUTCH CRUMBLE TOPPING 
6 apples, sliced

Toss apples with: 1/4 c. sugar 1/8 tsp. salt Dash of ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour into 9 inch pie plate or square pan. Top with Dutch crumble topping. Bake 60 minutes.

Topping: Mix 1 cup each of butter, flour, and sugar; add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Mix well. Resembles cornmeal.
