SHORT RIBS IN BEER 
1. 3 lbs. beef short ribs, cut into 3 inch pieces
2. 1 can (12 oz.) beer
3. 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
4. 1 med. onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
5. 1 med. bay leaf
6. 1/2 tsp. salt
7. 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
8. 1/8 tsp. pepper

1. Place all ingredients in 5 quart casserole. Microwave, covered, at High (100%) for 5 minutes.

2. Reduce power to Medium (50%), microwave 25 minutes. Stir. Microwave, covered, at Medium (50%) until beef is tender, 25 to 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
