SHORT RIBS SUPREME | |
4 lbs. short ribs of beef 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 2 lg. onions, sliced 1/2 green pepper, chopped coarsely 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. allspice 1 bay leaf, crushed 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce 6 med. potatoes, pared Brown meat on all sides in drippings. Remove from pan. Saute onions in remaining drippings. Add meat and remaining ingredients except potatoes. Cook to boiling; cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour. Add potatoes; cook 1 hour longer. |
