SAUERKRAUT AND PORK | |
2 lg. cans sauerkraut 1/2 lb. ground pork 2 stalks celery, finely chopped 2 med. onions, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 whole pimiento, sliced 1 1/4 c. butter 1/2 tsp. dill weed 1/2 tsp. salt Cover pork with water and salt. Simmer 20 minutes. Set aside. Cover sauerkraut with water, boil about 10 minutes. Drain well. Saute celery, onion, garlic, pimiento and mushrooms until golden. Add drained sauerkraut, dill weed, salt and pepper to taste. Add pork with just enough liquid to moisten sauerkraut well. Place in covered baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. |
