STRAWBERRY CAKE | |
1 Duncan Hines Deluxe II white cake mix (no pudding in mix!) 4 eggs 1 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. boiling water 1 sm. pkg. strawberry gelatin 1/2 c. juice from 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries Soften Jello in 1/2 cup boiling water; add dry mix, 4 eggs, 1 cup oil, and 1/2 cup juice. Beat well. Grease and flour 3 (9-inch) round cake pans. Pour batter into 3 pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. ICING: 1/2 stick butter 1 box sifted confectioners' sugar 10 oz. strawberries, thawed Cream butter and sugar together. Add strawberries, a little at a time and enough juice to make a good spreading consistency. NOTE: Careful when adding strawberries and juice to creamed butter and sugar! I always get it too runny, usually don't need whole package. |
