GRANDMA'S GOULASH | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 can mixed vegetables (drained) that does not contain potatoes such as Del Monte Salt & pepper to taste In ovenproof skillet, brown meat and onion. Skim off fat if necessary. Add salt, pepper and vegetables; simmer about 15 minutes. Top with slices of cheese. Do not place cheese slices so closely as to completely cover. This allows liquid to bubble through when cooked in the oven. Bake in 350 degree oven until hot and bubbly, about 15 minutes. Serve over split corn bread. |
