1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. ground veal
1/2 lb. ground lean pork
2 eggs
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
1/3 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped scallions
1 tbsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
6 to 8 slices bacon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly combine the ingredients and place in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover the top with bacon slices. Bake about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cut into pie-shaped wedges to serve.
