SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter until soft, add sugar and cream the mixture until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beating well after adding each. Sift dry ingredients together and add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla. Pour half the batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. Cover batter with half the filling made of following ingredients: 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 c. finely chopped pecans (or walnuts)

Pour remaining batter over the filling and top with remainder of the nut mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. This recipe can be halved and baked in 8 x 8 pan for 30 minutes.
