COUNTRY PIE 
1/2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper

FILLING:

2 c. cooked rice
1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 c. grated sharp cheese
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine ingredients and mix well. Pat meat mixture into bottom of any pie plate or casserole dish and up the sides. Set aside. Combine rice mixture and spoon into meat mixture. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Return and bake 10-15 minutes longer (covered). Serves 5-8.
