QUEENS PUDDING 
2 c. stale bread cubes or 5 or 6 leftover biscuits
4 c. milk, scalded
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
4 slightly beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. (or more) seedless raisins

Soak bread in milk for 5 minutes. Add butter, salt and sugar. Pour slowly over eggs. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour into greased baking sheet. Sprinkle raisins over top. Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with Lemon Sauce.

LEMON SAUCE:

Combine and stir in a double boiler over hot (not in) water: 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 c. water

Remove sauce from heat, stir in: 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/8 tsp. salt
