CHOCO-MARSHMALLOW COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
Pecans halves
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
18 marshmallows cut in half

Sift together all dry ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and milk to the shortening mixture and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 minutes and remove from oven and press marshmallows, cut side down on top of each cookie. Bake 2 minutes. Top with cocoa frosting. Place pecan on top. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

FROSTING:

2 c. sifted powdered sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. soft butter
4 to 5 tbsp. cream

Combine cocoa, salt and sugar. Add butter and cream and beat until spreading consistency.
