LIGHT 'N EASY BISCUITS 
3 c. sifted flour
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk

In bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add milk. Stir until blended. Knead lightly, 8 to 10 times on lightly floured surface. Roll dough to fit into ungreased 9" square pan. Cut through dough in squares. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. When baked, biscuits will separate at cut lines. Makes 16 biscuits.
